Mutual Fund Ratings

Morningstar is the most popular service when we discuss Mutual Fund Ratings. There are actually only a few services that rate most of the mutual funds available. This would obviously be your first place to search when you are looking for Mutual Fund Ratings. BusinessWeek also has their own rating system that you can compare. Lipper is also a popular service that you may see.

Below are the links into websites that contain the Mutual Fund Ratings:

Morningstar
Morningstar rates mutual funds from one to five stars based on how well they've performed (after adjusting for risk and accounting for all sales charges) in comparison with similar funds.

BusinessWeek
The interactive Mutual Fund Scoreboard, the online version of one of BusinessWeek's most popular investor features. The Scoreboard runs annually in the magazine, but it's always available and updated monthly at BusinessWeek online. Scan the listings, or enter a fund name or ticker symbol to pull up a specific fund. Click on the fund's name and you'll get a pop-up with more information. Clicking on the headers will sort the scoreboard by the column's criteria.
